King Henry VIII
Thesis: King Henry VIII played a huge role in the reformation of the Protestant religion and the Church of England.
King Henry VIII (the 8th), was born June 28, 1491 in England. He became King of England only 18 years after his birth. King Henry helped with the reformation of the Roman-Catholic Church of England. His devotion to bearing a male heir was a very important role in the reformation of the Church of England. Henry had a total of six wives, three of which he divorced, two were beheaded for forms of treason and the last wife was married to Henry until his death in January, 1547. Henry had a deep desire to bear a male heir and the majority of his wives could not give birth to such a son. Throughout his life Henry beard many children, most of which died shortly after birth. Henry helped Martin Luthor with the reformation of the Church of England in the 16th century.
